Thanksgiving Lapbook

So this is my first time doing this, and I'm not sure it's working, but here goes. I can't get the links to do their thing today--ah, the challenges of the not-so-techy!

Over at http://www.christianpreschoolprintables.com/, Valerie has started a meme on Pilgrims which is fantastic because that is exactly what I was searching for for our next lapbook. I love this site and the work she puts into it is amazing!

For this month, we're going to break it down into 4 weeks. Each week, I plan on focusing on a different part of our theme.

Week 1-The Mayflower- http://www.plimoth.org/ Has some tons of info!
A site where you can sign up to receive emails from a pilgrim child and a Native American child - http://www.scholastic.com/scholastic_thanksgiving/letters.asp

http://www.enchantedlearning.com/crafts/thanksgiving/map/ also has a map and a Mayflower craft.

Week 2- We'll learn about life in the new World for the Seperatist (Pilgrim) children http://www.plimoth.org/ for more on that.

This site has a pilgrim page, and a Thanksgiving page and a Native page visit http://www.littlegiraffes.com/pilgrimpage.html

Week 3-We'll study some Native American Culture

Week 4-Thanksgiving Icons:
Cornacopia
Corn
Turkey

Thank you for the great links! I like how you've spaced it all out in four weeks. Excited to see the finished lapbook! Have fun!

These are some very informative links! I love the last one, it has an idea for a kitchen trash bag apron! How economical, and easy....we'll spend an afternoon running around in these! Thanks for joining the meme, it looks like your linking up just fine!

God Bless,

Valerie
